Hr Business Partner

Public Sector People are currently inviting applications for the role of Band 7, Human Resources Business Partner to join a respected Council in Melbourne's inner west on contract for an initial 3 months commencing this side of Xmas.
As the successful HR Business Partner, you will work as part of a team of 3 other BP's and wider P&C function of Council where you'll provide strategic support and drive impactful people initiatives.
Key Responsibilities: Partner with divisional leaders to deliver tailored HR solutions aligned with organisational goals.Offer high-level advice on complex HR and employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with legislation, awards, and policies.Develop and facilitate training sessions to enhance management capability and staff engagement.Provide end-to-end recruitment support, including strategy, process management, and onboarding.Lead and contribute to HR projects and initiatives, including policy development and workforce planning.Coach and guide managers on performance management, cultural change, and retention strategies.Key Requirements: Tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).Solid knowledge of the Fair Work Act, employment legislation, and industrial relations.Proven experience in a generalist HR or business partnering role within a unionised environment.Strong problem-solving, coaching, and relationship-building skills.Experience with HR systems and metrics analysis, coupled with exceptional attention to detail. #J-18808-Ljbffr
