As a HR Business Data Analyst, you will support the People and Culture team and various stakeholders with their reporting and analytics process optimisation needs. You will also work to promote the business adoption of analytical reports to improve the commercial performance of the business, improve the quality of the Uniting Care services we provide to our customers, and ensure efficiencies and identification of problem areas are resolved in a proactive manner. Please note, this is a 6 month maximum term contract role, with the potential for extension. Your part in our Uniting Care team: Interpret, understand and advise how workforce data impacts and influences the organisation and strategy. Conduct investigative analyses such as predictive analytics, scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis and decision tree analysis, overlaying these with insightful commentary which provide Leaders with options and outcome forecasting. Provide evidence-based insights and decision support tools which provide robust data supported by business focused analysis, risks, issues and options to colleagues, the Executive Group and Senior Leaders. Build and continually improve data models and analytics reporting tools to support Business Partnering and P&C teams across the organisation. Collaborate with other business units as required, to deliver high level evidence-based solutions. Design complex SQL queries for workforce information and reporting. Design and manage the reporting environment (Power BI), including data sources, security, and metadata. What makes a difference for us? Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent, with experience with Power BI, Excel, SQL, Python and other reporting tools. A broad and deep level of knowledge across the areas of Core HR, Recruitment, Talent Management and Workforce Management and Payroll is highly desirable. Previous experience as a data analyst or in a related field, with the ability to work with stakeholders to assess potential risks within the data or process. Demonstrated experience with translating business requirements into technical and functional specifications. Knowledge of: Queries and Database structures (SQL), Office Applications (Advanced Excel, Word, Outlook), Dashboarding Tools (Power BI), Analytic Tools and Programming (Python, DAX), Data Structures (DB Tables, Flat files, CSV, Excel, JSON, etc.) What makes a difference for you?
