In this highly diverse role, you will oversee the human resource function of this busy site administration team, ensuring alignment with both local and group requirements.Based on site in Lihir Island Papua New Guinea, you will report to both the HR Services and Project Manager.You will ply your trade to lead the HR function of the site admin team; ensure a positive workplace by addressing HR needs; solve and work through staffing roster adjustments; support staff movements; implement policies and enhance collaboration while overseeing payroll.You will be trusted with:Ensuring accuracy of monthly expatriate payroll, maintaining compliance and promptly resolving any discrepancies.Effectively managing flight cancellations and making necessary adjustments to the roster to ensure all gaps are adequately filled.Conducting job evaluations to clarify roles and uphold competitive, equitable compensation structures.Redesigning processes to streamline workflow efficiency and strengthen interdepartmental collaboration.Preparing weekly reports on staff headcount, movements, and retention for management review.Compiling and submitting quarterly HR statistics, ensuring accuracy and alignment with reporting standards.Advising senior management on HR and IR issues, providing effective solutions for resolution.Supporting the administration team during peak periods to ensure smooth operational continuity.Coordinating staff travel arrangements, including airfares and transport from designated hire locations.Overseeing quality of single-person camp accommodations, ensuring nutritious meals for all employees.Fostering a growth-focused culture with accessible employee benefits and development opportunities.What's In Your Toolbox?You will hold a degree in Human Resources and or a Certificate IV in HR General Practice, have a minimum 5 years HR experience, and working experience within the civil infrastructure, or Gas and pipeline sectors in PNG would be highly advantageous.You are an exceptional communicator, are as efficient as they come, and can remain cool under pressure.
