An opportunity has become available for a motivated individual to join our large successful Company as Human Resources Advisor at our Livestock Office in Tamworth. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you will be required to utilise your administration and people skills and will mediate with Managers and employees on all day-to-day activities relating to HR.
Key tasks: Employee Relations Coaching and leading Managers through employee disciplinary processes, including performance management and company-initiated termination to ensure that the best possible outcomes can be reached. Preparation of formal letters and notices in relation to addressing grievance and performance issues. Responding to internal complaints in a prompt, fair and thorough manner, including conducting of internal investigations and giving advice to managers on the outcomes of the investigations so that appropriate measures can be taken. Assist managers to manage high absenteeism, misconduct, breaches of company policy and employment contract or legislation. Plan and conduct exit interviews in a manner which the company can then collate and analyse feedback to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Act as a point of contact and support Managers through dispute resolution process to ensure that all disputes are taken seriously and are dealt with in a timely manner. Industrial Relations Interpret and advise Managers on Enterprise Agreements (EA) and industrial instruments, to ensure that a consistent approach is maintained across the business. Assist with the preparation and administration regarding representing the business in Commissions and Tribunals when required. Assist with the annual performance appraisals cycle, including coaching managers through effective goal setting, mid-year review and end of year performance appraisal discussions with their team to achieve a high performing workforce. Assist Managers to complete the Talent Management and Career Development plans to assist drive performance and bench strength and succession planning with departments. Key Generalist activities Support managers in achieving timely completion of probation reviews and ensuring the probation review processes are adhered to for all new hires. Maintain Vsure for all current employees and ensure company is compliant with immigration requirements. Review Employment confirmation letters. Responsible for maintaining sound HR records and filing in a manner which is easily understood and contains all relevant information ready in the case that it is called upon for legal reasons. Provide support to enable change management initiatives. Undertake special projects as required. Advise all employees to any updates or introduction of policies and procedures to raise awareness and compliance. Other duties as required from time to time. Critical skills and experience required: MUST have at least 2 years with managing HR matters Extensive experience in managing disciplinary matters and performance management Excellent verbal and written English communication skills Ability to meet deadlines and produce accurate reports Computer literate with accurate data entry skills Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality Ability to interpret Australian workplace Awards, Agreements and relevant Industrial Relations legislation Previous Human Resources experience will be preferred but not essential Must have current drivers' license and personal vehicle The successful candidate will be based at our Tamworth Office. Full onsite training will be provided to the successful applicant.
