HR & Recruitment HR - Officer / Adviser Sydney Permanent / Full Time Role purpose This role will be responsible for undertaking recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, HR compliance & administration, engagement & performance activities and supporting the business with day to day HR coordination.
Key responsibilities • Create and maintain job descriptions, prepare and post job ads, perform prescreening calls, coordinate interview processes, perform reference and background checks, prepare offer letters and employment contracts • Maintain our HRIS (Employment Hero) and ensure continuous improvement of HR systems, policies and processes • Coordination of onboarding and offboarding to ensure our people have a positive experience and are set up for success • Support managers with creating team specific induction training plans • Coordination of our performance management programs • Coordinate the annual performance review process and assist with annual remuneration reviews • Guide managers on HR policies, legal compliance, and handle day to day queries regarding contracts, leave and employment conditions • Support managers with performance management and resolving performance issues • Run regular employee engagement surveys • Ensure our team receives clear and consistent communication on organisational updates and changes • Assist, where applicable, with organisational structure planning and change management initiatives • Assist with regular reporting on key HR statistics, exit interviews, and employee survey findings for management and the board Skills and Experience • Bach degree in Human Resources or related field • 5yrs experience in a generalist HR role • Strong general HR knowledge and an understanding of employment legislation and employment relations across Australia and New Zealand, awareness of when to seek technical expertise or advice • Well organised, proactive and responsive • Pragmatic approach to problem-solving • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – both written and verbal • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
