We're seeking an experienced HR Advisor/Officer to support our client's dedicated HR team and help foster a positive culture in a 12-month fixed-term contract position.
About the Role:As the HR Advisor, you will work closely with the HR team to manage HR inquiries, support case management for volunteers, and contribute to developing and implementing HR policies and procedures. This role is a unique opportunity to bring your HR skills to a mission-driven organisation, directly contributing to meaningful outcomes for Australian wildlife.
Key Responsibilities:Case Management Support: Handle HR and volunteer employee relations enquiries, ensuring prompt and effective resolutions.Policy and Process Development: Assist in creating and refining HR policies, processes, and procedures to support the growing volunteer base.Administrative Support: Provide day-to-day administrative assistance to the HR team, supporting managers with various tasks and project requirements.Compliance and Reporting: Ensure HR practices comply with relevant laws and policies, and contribute to HR reporting.Performance Management: Support managers in volunteer performance evaluations, helping develop feedback mechanisms and improvement plans.Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in HR processes and suggest enhancements for greater efficiency and engagement.Data Management: Maintain accurate records and case management documentation to ensure data integrity.Our ideal candidate will have:Experience managing end-to-end ER matters, leading investigations and managing complex cases.Ability to manage high volumes of inquiries with excellent customer service skills.Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or similar.Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.Effective communicator, able to manage relationships with a range of stakeholders.Passionate about animal welfare, and a positive attitude.Previous experience in a NFP organisation is preferable.Please apply now if this sounds like you!
