About The Role
As the HR Advisor, you will:
Provide high quality and contemporary HR advice to senior managers, employees and across a broad range of HR matters including recruitment and selection, establishment management, benefits and conditions of employment, diversity and inclusion.
Utilise HR information systems and ensure outcomes and timelines are met through the effective management of HR processes and forms, including establishment management, requests to hire, employment screening and appointment documentation.
Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to support the development of strategies and plans to build the knowledge and capabilities of the department.
Develop workforce reporting dashboards and analytics within established timeframes and identify improvements to support decision making and departmental requirements.
Support learning and development activities, reporting and coordination through the learning management system (MyCareer), including annual compliance reviews.
Write and/or review complex reports, briefing notes, submissions, and deliver presentations for a variety of audiences, including data-heavy content and HR metrics.
Represent People and Culture in meetings and forums with external providers and sector networks, and as required, deliver internal presentations, workshops, and briefings.
Contribute to improvements in HR operations and support People and Culture's program of work, including leading projects and participating in plan development.
What We Are Looking For
The position requires an applicant who has:
Demonstrated knowledge of public sector HR legislation and frameworks, with the ability to provide comprehensive and reliable advice to stakeholders.
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
Experience prioritising workloads to manage projects to completion, deliver high-quality outputs and provide solutions to achieve client outcomes within defined timeframes.
Demonstrated problem solving, research and analytical skills, and ability to identify business improvements.
Extensive experience in establishment management and onboarding of employees, including experience with a HR information system (e.g. Aurion).
