The Star Care Group plays a crucial role in delivering care and support to individuals with disabilities in their homes and out in the community across the Perth metro area & regional area.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic and fast-paced HR Team.
This is a newly created position to work alongside our Services Manager, Rostering Manager & Managing Director.
As an HR Administrator, you will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks related to HR functions, including recruitment, employee onboarding, record-keeping, and general HR support.
The role also involves support of the end-to-end employee life cycle, use of our Employee Management systems, and managing organization-wide compliance and correspondence. Duties and Responsibilities: As our HR Administrator, you will play a crucial role in fostering a positive workplace environment and ensuring the well-being of our employees.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Recruitment and Onboarding: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from posting job listings to conducting interviews, and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience for new hires.Employee Documentation: Ensure necessary documents of employees are up to date.Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries, resolve conflicts, and promote a harmonious work environment.Performance Management: Develop and implement performance appraisal systems, provide feedback, and assist in career development planning.Staff Compliance: Ensure all staff adhere to compliance requirements, including maintaining up-to-date records of certifications, training, and policies.
Conduct regular compliance checks and update policies and staff handbook as necessary to align with current legislation.Training and Development: Identify training needs for support workers, coordinate training programs online or face-to-face, and support employee growth and development.
Train and demonstrate to support workers the proper use of wheelchair lifts in vehicles.HR Metrics: Compile and analyze HR metrics to make data-driven decisions and improve HR processes.Technical Skills and Adaptability: Experience with software tools such as Xero, Happy HR, and Deputy, along with strong Excel skills for compiling and analyzing data—or a willingness to learn.Work Under Pressure: Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment.Eligibility Criteria: To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
HR certification is a plus.A minimum of 2 years' experience in HR and administrative roles is preferred.Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with employees at all levels.Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.Attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of HR administration.Proficiency in HR software and tools for record-keeping and analytics.Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute positively to our workplace culture.Strong understanding of Fair Work and the SCHADS Award.Are you ready to apply?If you're ready to help us make a difference, apply now and let's chat about what life looks like at The Star Care Group.
