Our Client is seeking a HR and Aboriginal Engagement Officer they will play a key role in driving diversity and inclusion initiatives, particularly in relation to Aboriginal engagement. This position will involve developing and implementing HR strategies that support the recruitment, retention, and development of Aboriginal employees, as well as fostering positive relationships with Aboriginal communities.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.Act as a point of contact for Aboriginal employees, providing support and guidance on HR-related matters.Foster relationships with Aboriginal communities and organizations.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create and support programs that enhance the recruitment, retention, and professional development of Aboriginal employees.Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and best practices related to diversity and inclusion.Conduct training and awareness programs to promote cultural competency within the organization.Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures that support diversity and inclusion.Monitor and report on HR metrics, particularly those related to diversity and Aboriginal engagement.Support general HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.Qualifications: Proven experience in HR, with a focus on diversity and inclusion, preferably within an Aboriginal context.Strong understanding of Aboriginal cultures, traditions, and issues.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective HR strategies and programs.Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in HR and diversity.High level of integrity and professionalism.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.What We Offer: A supportive and inclusive work environment.Local Perth based roleOpportunities for professional development and growth.Competitive salary and benefits package.The chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of Aboriginal employees and communities.If Interested please submit your resume, highlighting the desired experience via the apply button.
