Housing & Homelessness Services (Community Services & Development) Why this role mattersThe Salvation Army Australia's Homelessness Stream provides high quality, person centred services to people at risk, and or experiencing homelessness. We support adults and families, including accompanying children with accommodation, case management, outreach support, financial assistance, connection and referral to other specialist services. The Housing Tenancy Manager is responsible for tenancy support and property support to the Toward Home Resolve Homelessness Program.
About the roleThis role will require the ideal candidate to oversee tenancy contracts, receipt of rental and conduct property inspections ensuring tenants comply with the tenancy act under the agreement with The Salvation Army. As the Housing Tenancy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in working alongside our Case Managers and Support workers to ensure we are supporting individuals who are experiencing homelessness to transition into temporary housing. This is an incredible opportunity for the ideal candidate to use their property management skills, relationship building and leadership skills, whilst making an impact on the lives of others.
What the role looks like Attend tenant sites regularly to be a presence onsite, and attend with Case Managers to address client needs holistically.Attend to site matters which are impacting common areas, and manage these to promote increased client safety and wellbeing.Work collaboratively with Case Managers and clients to identify and address tenancy challenges and prevent/reduce tenancy failure.Work collaboratively with Case Managers to provide practical living skills support to clients.Oversee tenancy contracts, receipt of rental income and conduct property inspections ensuring tenants comply with the tenancy act under the agreement with TSA.As part of the broader case management support practice undertake specific group or individual resident engagement activities as directed by the Case Management Team.This is a max term part-time position for 22.8 hours per week, located in Adelaide. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Level 4 Award.
