Temporary Housing Revenue Support OfficerReference no: Adur 5257908Pay Rate: up to £14.91 per hour PAYE depending on experience37 hours Monday – Friday, 09:00 - 17:30This opening assignment is for 3 monthsCity: LANCINGLocation: Worthing Town Hall (some home working possible TBC)As a Temporary Housing Revenue Support Officer, your role will involve the effective calculation, monitoring, and management of Direct Debits payments for tenants, ensuring accuracy and compliance with housing benefit claims and changes in circumstances.Key Responsibilities:Effective calculation, monitoring and management of Direct Debits payments for tenants:Generate Direct Debits (Orchard Housing System)Check for accuracy and identify required changesReconcile and implement any changesUndertake appropriate banking activitiesInterrogation of the rent system to determine arrears cases for recovery action in accordance with the arrears recovery policy.Production of mail merge letters, reports and statisticsGeneral admin duties, including filing, scanning, and postAssist with end of year processesWork with others to improve customer serviceQualifications:3 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English at Grade C or aboveKnowledge:Housing knowledgeKnowledge of housing lawWelfare benefit knowledgeExperience:Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, ideally within a public sector organisation.Experience of housing finance including managing direct debits in a housing contextSkills & Abilities:Excellent numeracy and data management skillsEffective planning and organising skillsAble to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environmentAbility to problem solveAbility to work flexible hours if requiredIT literacy including Microsoft and GoogleGood team player who is open to change and matrix working#J-18808-Ljbffr
