Temporary Housing Revenue Support Officer Reference no: Adur 5257908 Pay Rate: up to £14.91 per hour PAYE depending on experience 37 hours Monday – Friday, 09:00 - 17:30 This opening assignment is for 3 months City: LANCING Location: Worthing Town Hall (some home working possible TBC) As a Temporary Housing Revenue Support Officer, your role will involve the effective calculation, monitoring, and management of Direct Debits payments for tenants, ensuring accuracy and compliance with housing benefit claims and changes in circumstances.

Key Responsibilities: Effective calculation, monitoring and management of Direct Debits payments for tenants: Generate Direct Debits (Orchard Housing System) Check for accuracy and identify required changes Reconcile and implement any changes Undertake appropriate banking activities Interrogation of the rent system to determine arrears cases for recovery action in accordance with the arrears recovery policy. Production of mail merge letters, reports and statistics General admin duties, including filing, scanning, and post Assist with end of year processes Work with others to improve customer service Qualifications: 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English at Grade C or above Knowledge: Housing knowledge Knowledge of housing law Welfare benefit knowledge Experience: Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, ideally within a public sector organisation. Experience of housing finance including managing direct debits in a housing context Skills & Abilities: Excellent numeracy and data management skills Effective planning and organising skills Able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Ability to problem solve Ability to work flexible hours if required IT literacy including Microsoft and Google Good team player who is open to change and matrix working
