The work you do will impact the quality of life for our clients and contribute to a positive impact in the community.
As part of your daily tasks you will:
Manage a portfolio of diverse housing stock including the management of; housing allocations, eligibility assessments, anti-social behaviour management, rent management and referral advice.Minimise rental loss and property damage, maintaining required standards, and optimise cost recovery for rechargeable repairs.Promote, encourage, and facilitate tenant participation; promote feedback and complaints processes and record and report on activities.Maintain assets to an appropriate standard; establish and maintain long-term and cyclical maintenance programs for properties.Conduct periodic property inspections; work with relevant stakeholders to deliver effective and timely responsive maintenance services.Maintain tenant and property records in accordance with organisational procedures and legislative requirements; analyse data and report on changing needs and program trends; assist to monitor and report on rent, bonds, and client repayments.About you You are an experience real estate or social housing professional. Your knowledge of current legislation and the needs of people requiring affordable housing will allow you to provide sustainable solutions for our clients. Your calm demeanour and empathy will allow you to relate to a diverse range of people. Service will be at the forefront of how you approach interactions with your internal and external stake holders. You will be able to work independently and as part of a wider unit.
To thrive in this role your skills knowledge and experience ideally include:
Certificate IV in Social Housing or other equivalent community services qualification, or equivalent relevant experience.Knowledge and understanding of the housing needs and issues of people on low incomes, those discriminated against, or with special needs, or who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.Knowledge and understanding of the Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act 2008.Minimum three years in tenancy management or other community services role.Demonstrated capacity to work within a legislative environment.Importantly, you will be someone who closely aligns with our organisational values of: Unconditional Love, Continual Innovation, Mutual Trust, Wise Stewardship and Safety.
