The Role We are seeking a Housing Manager to join our Northern Beaches Pathways team on a full-time fixed-term basis. Pathways helps Bridge Housing customers who are looking for stable and secure homes. The Housing Manager, Pathways does this by providing access and demand services for applicants seeking social housing assistance. This includes assessing, processing and offering customers appropriate housing products while providing exceptional client service specific to the needs of low-income households and tenants and those in crisis.
What does a day as a Housing Manager look like? Working to the Customer Service Charter and Housing policies and procedures Timely processing and assessing of applications Facilitating access to temporary priority accommodation as needed Providing advice, information and referrals to assist clients Helping meet the financial goals of the team by allocating available properties to clients Maintaining good relationships with support agencies and other stakeholders Actioning documentation and administrative duties in a timely manner within HOMES and SDM software and other relevant IT systems Our Housing Managers have versatile skills and backgrounds including… Knowledge of social housing and the homelessness, health and welfare service system in NSW Experience or ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures An understanding of community engagement and trauma-informed practice Excellent communication skills, including writing skills (spelling, grammar etc.) so they are able to write the formal professional letters required of the role Good proficiency with Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel etc.) Knowledge or experience of the following is a real extra-advantage when assuming the role: Experience using HOMES and TRIM systems (NSW Housing register) A working knowledge of eligibility criteria and evidence required to be considered for social housing Certificate in Social Housing or Real Estate certificate of registration Degrees or experience in Social Work or relevant discipline What you need to thrive in this role? You're able to build effective relationships and rapport with people from all different backgrounds and cultures Really strong attention to detail A high level of accountability and a responsible work ethic (this is a high demand role and you need to be able to organise your time effectively and efficiently!) A proactive and positive approach, a "can-do" attitude and most importantly a commitment to excellent customer service Skills in negotiation and conflict resolution will be very handy Our Housing Managers do need to have a current and valid drivers license in order to conduct property viewings and visits; however, transport is provided!

This role is paid at a base salary of $93,886.63 - $101,018.28, plus salary packaging and superannuation. In real terms, this means $112,821.84 - $121,977.14 per annum.
