Housing Manager Homes NSW | Southern & Western District Location: Wagga Wagga NSW Employment Type: Ongoing, Full Time Opportunity Salary - $106,025pa to $117,363pa, plus superannuation and annual leave loading Opportunities for learning, development and career progression Your role Housing Services is portfolio area under the Homes NSW umbrella. Homes NSW is a newly established division within the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) with the vision to deliver quality homes and services that change lives and end homelessness.
The Housing Manager supports the team with overseeing the delivery of housing operations specific to their stream including:
Access and demand (entry in temporary accommodation and applying for social housing), homelessness (tailored and coordinated supports to people sleeping rough) The Housing Manager manages the day-to-day work of housing client service teams, providing direction, support, guidance, advice, and feedback to team members.
The Housing Manager also reviews operational data and reports and facilitates the delivery of quality outcomes including customer centred service delivery, strong partnerships for impact and a thriving and empowered workplace.
What you'll do Housing managers collaborate closely with Team Leaders to support the overall functionality and cohesion of the team in:
responding to crisis effectively responding to the needs of customers ensuring that service delivery is efficient that targeted goals and KPI's are achieved. You will demonstrate strong management skills within your daily interactions and have a clear understanding of how planning, leading, organising and monitoring contributes to being an effective manager.
Regular travel and field work is a requirement of this position. What we're looking for In this role, you will:
Monitor service standards and uplift practice to promote adherence to the housing practice standards Ensure services are delivered in compliance with legislation and policy Undertake resource planning Foster team development and drive performance improvement Assist with complex service issues and policy interpretation Communicate and negotiate to efficiently foster and manage key stakeholder relationships internally and externally Applications close 11:59pm AEST September 30, 2024
