Your role within Housing and Homelessness Services will support the department to provide housing assistance, homelessness support services, local government support and advice, state and regional planning, public works building and design and industry regulatory reform.
You will lead, manage and strongly contribute to cross functional teams responsible for coordinating the design, development and delivery of service delivery transformation initiatives aimed at supporting partnerships across the housing, homelessness and broader service system, ensuring holistic, person-centred, place-based and trauma-informed practice which resolves complex issues, represents value for money and meets customer needs.

What you will be doing:
• Lead and coordinate the design, development, implementation and evaluation of service delivery transformation initiatives focused on integrated service delivery, using human centred design principles and co-design processes, to improve outcomes for customers with complex and challenging needs.
• Lead and contribute to multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams to leverage resources and technical expertise, identify solutions and deliver the department's operational and strategic outcomes.
• Manage staff, physical and financial resources in accordance with relevant legislation, strategic objectives, Queensland Government and departmental policies and contemporary best practice standards.
• Build, maintain and support collaborative relationships, networks and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Work flexibly in a fast-paced, diverse environment, embracing agile methodology to develop and implement project plans, deliver timely, high quality policy and project outcomes, manage risks and issues, identify opportunities for improvement and support change.
• Provide high level communication skills, prepare persuasive briefs, presentations and reports, underpinned by analysis, contextual awareness and stakeholder consultation, to resolve complex policy and operational issues.
• Conduct detailed research, demonstrate advanced critical analysis skills, early identification and resolution of issues and maintaining contemporary knowledge of housing and homelessness service delivery policy and practice.
• Lead a positive team culture, focused on collaboration, communication and cultural capability.
• Lead, model and foster professionalism, accountability and ethical behaviour and ensure a workplace safety culture by ensuring that all policies and practices concerning Workplace Health and Safety are applied and are a part of day to day operations.
