Purpose As a Houseperson, you are a key player in our Housekeeping Team! You will be in constant motion, assisting our room and public area attendants. Delivering requested items to guests' rooms, ensuring our room attendants have a steady supply of linens, towels, and amenities, and handling the collection of used linens for laundering are some key tasks of the role. Your flexibility and willingness to help make you an essential part of our team, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for our guests.
Primary Responsibilities Prioritise and promptly fulfil guest requests, including delivering amenities, beds, cots, blankets, and pillows, and collecting items from guest rooms as needed. Collaborate with all members of the housekeeping team to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner. Gather used linens from guest rooms and transport to the designated appropriate area. Assist with cleaning guest rooms and public area spaces as requested. Handle chemicals and cleaning materials with safety, respect guest privacy and security, and promptly report maintenance issues. Provide a welcoming service to all guests, assisting with questions, concerns, and offering precise details about our property's amenities and features. Skills and Experience Your communication style is warm and welcoming, making guests and team members alike feel right at home. You have an eye for detail and work efficiently, managing your time well and taking pride in your tasks. You enjoy a physical role, navigating the property may involve using internal and external staircases, open pathways, and pushing heavy trollies and equipment. You embrace collaborating with colleagues from various backgrounds. Reliable transportation and availability to work a variety of shifts including weekends and public holidays.
