Job Opportunity: Hands-On Housekeeping Team Leader (Permanent Part-Time or Casual- up to you!) Are you an experienced, detail-oriented housekeeping professional looking to step into a leadership role? Our busy motel is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Team Leader to join our team on a permanent part-time basis. This is a hands-on role with the opportunity to both lead and work alongside our housekeeping team, ensuring exceptional cleanliness and service for every guest.
About the Role: Working primarily Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend shifts, the Housekeeping Team Leader will play a crucial role in maintaining our motel's high standards of cleanliness. This is not just a supervisory role—you'll be actively involved in cleaning rooms, setting up for the team, and ensuring everything runs smoothly day-to-day.
Responsibilities Include: Room Cleaning & Upkeep: Perform daily cleaning of motel rooms to maintain excellent standards, often working hands-on alongside your team.Setting Up & Stocking: Prepare and stock housekeeping trolleys at the start of each shift, ensuring team members have everything they need.Quality Control: Check and monitor the quality of cleaning done by other housekeeping staff to ensure consistent, high standards.Maintenance Reporting: Identify and report routine maintenance issues promptly to management.Spring Cleaning: Oversee and perform deep-cleaning tasks as required to maintain optimal room conditions.Leading the Team: On busy days, lead a small team of 3-4 housekeepers, providing direction, inspecting rooms, and ensuring smooth workflow. On quieter days, you may be the sole housekeeper on duty.What We're Looking For: Experienced Professional: Previous housekeeping experience with a focus on quality and attention to detail.Team Player & Leader: Someone who is comfortable working solo or leading a small team, and who takes pride in setting and maintaining high standards.Proactive & Organized: Able to manage your time and responsibilities effectively, ensuring that daily and long-term tasks are completed to the highest standards.Flexible & Reliable: Willingness to handle varied tasks and occasional weekend work as needed.If you're looking for a hands-on role where you can lead by example and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, this is the position for you! The role is approximately 25 hours per week. We are happy to pay as a casual, the rate Monday to Friday is $32.25 per hour with loadings on weekends, or PPT $25.80, plus weekend loadings with pro-rated sick and annual leave also included.
