Working as part of our dedicated team means you will have the unique opportunity to enhance the well-being, comfort, and enjoyment of residents with a particular emphasis on providing a comfortable, clean, and homely environment.
You will contribute to the physical and emotional well-being of our residents by partnering with them to be involved in household tasks as meaningful life activities.
Duties: Ensure rooms are kept clean and tidy through undertaking laundry and cleaning duties, in accordance with shift guidelines.Replenishing of supplies from the storeroom including receiving and storing of goodsAssist with moving large items around site including rubbish binsComply with infection control measures and food safety requirements in accordance with company policies and proceduresLiaises with the multidisciplinary team to modify and adapt household tasks to meet individual residents' needs to use their abilities and enable their safe and active participation in tasks that provide a sense of purpose.Actively supports residents to assist with laundry and cleaning tasks as above.Uses flexible and creative approaches with residents to meet duty of care whilst supporting residents' rights to exercise maximum choice and control during household activities.Skills and Experience: You must currently live within the Margaret River areaCleaning or laundry experience is essentialThe housekeeper may perform laundry role or general cleaning dutiesAbility to complete a busy and physically demanding workload and respond to changing prioritiesGood time management skillsWorks well in a team environmentAbility to engage residents through a person-centered approach to care and supportRelates to the aged care population with empathy, understanding, and respectWillingness to obtain or provide proof of the 2023 Influenza vaccination & three (3) Covid-19 VaccinationsWillingness to undergo a pre-employment medical if requiredWillingness to obtain or provide proof of a National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check (refunded upon commencement)Willingness to obtain or provide proof of NDIS Worker Orientation Modules online trainingAbout us: BaptistCare is a leading for-purpose Christian-based care organisation that supports thousands of people across more than 100 locations in NSW, ACT and WA.
