Be a part of our mission to provide safety, comfort, housing, and support for our communities.We are now looking for a House Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of The Orchard, a state-of-the-art emergency accommodation centre for women and their children escaping domestic violence.
Responsibilities will include:Managing a team of case workers to ensure they are delivering best-practice support services to our clients,Managing the facility to ensure the Orchard is a safe and welcoming space for all women and their children to live during their stay,Providing support and advocacy for clients,Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure the safe and effective operation of the facility,Community engagement and development of stakeholder relationships,Reporting, budget management and compliance,Working closely with our DV Services and other Orchard teams, andSupporting fundraising and volunteer activities.We are ideally looking for someone with strong knowledge of and experience working in the Domestic Violence and/or Homelessness sector, with an understanding of the dynamics, complexities, and legal and social welfare consequences of domestic and family violence.
Excellent organisational, administrative, financial, and management skills are essential, along with experience in developing strategies, policies, and procedures for effective service delivery.
Strong team leadership and communication skills are also required.This is a full-time (38 hours/week) contract to 30 June 2027, classified as Level 6.1 under the SCHADS Award, which equates to $106,674 gross per annum, with annual increases in line with the pay points in the Award.
