Our team provides tailored therapeutic interventions aimed at addressing the unique needs of each child or young person we care for to help them overcome trauma and build resilience on their journey to adulthood in Out of Home Care (OOHC).

The House Lead - OOHC is responsible for supervising and coordinating the day-to-day functions and operations of the house, together with its small team, to provide individualized support to young people in line with the principles of Intensive Therapeutic Care (ITC).
The role has leadership responsibilities and will be a great role model for up-and-coming Youth Workers providing mentoring and coaching to equip them with the skills they need to do their job well!

This is a Permanent Full-time opportunity, based on the Central Coast which may require flexibility to work after hours and at weekends when participating in the 24/7 on-call system (providing phone and/or onsite support as required).
This role requires you to work directly in the house 3 days a week and the other 2 days are admin days that are completed away from the house (Office/Home).

Key responsibilities: Supervise all daily operations from the allocated house/s.Provide strengths-based solutions focused supervision, support and mentoring to Youth Workers.Management of house finances and budgets, administration, client records and reporting.Ensure compliance with incident management, reporting and escalation requirements and that organizational obligations under mandatory reporting, child protection, safeguarding and WHS are met.Advocate for and support the rights of children and young people.To be successful in this role, you will have: Degree qualification in Social Work, Psychology or Social Welfare, including electives on trauma OR relevant Diploma AND Graduate Certificate in either: Developmental Trauma, or Statutory Child Protection, or Client Intervention and Case Management.Min.
3 years' direct experience in working with high-risk or vulnerable children and young people in an out-of-home care environment.Min.
