Kurunjang Secondary College is a stand-alone Years 7 to 12 college with a current population of over 904 students.
It is situated in the Western Metropolitan suburb of Melton, Victoria.

Role Responsibilities The position of House Administration officer will provide high level administrative support to the relevant House Assistant Principal, its staff and students.
This role is a front facing role that works closely with the House Assistant Principal, House Coordinators, staff and students.
General An education support class position at this range will perform tasks that are carried out in accordance with guidelines, accepted practice, and school policy under supervision and direction. This may include coordination of other education support class staff within the work area or educational program.
An education support class position supports the educational services being provided to students but must not include duties of a teacher as defined in clause 2.6.1 of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic) or its successor. Supervision of students can be required individually or in groups up to 4 in controlled circumstances and where the responsibility for students remains clearly with a teacher.
Certification and/or qualifications of up to three years can be required at this level (noting that Registered Nurse is not included at this level, the first level for which is Level 1 range 3).
A role at this range may include:
Specific support tasks to achieve outcomes. Typically, this will involve accountability for a single function, (e.g. ensuring data is properly maintained) or the coordination of a work area under the direction of the principal or a manager. Assisting teachers, within an educational program, by undertaking specific support tasks or the coordination of the support function. Supervised health and wellbeing support tasks, medical intervention support tasks, or other specialised student/teacher support roles (e.g. enrolled nurses performing the role as described in schedule 3). These roles require specific qualifications and/or training, including roles where further training must be undertaken from time to time. The role is for a specific purpose, for which there will be direct accountability as opposed to support roles that are carried out by a range of staff performing routine tasks under direction. Technical tasks that require a sound knowledge of basic technical and/or scientific principles that are used to develop and adapt work methods and make judgements where there are clear guidelines and limited options. Routine technical support in libraries, science, and information technology would be typical examples. An education support class position at this range commencing at the base will initially be limited to undertaking routine tasks that are carried out under close supervision and direction. Work that carries some degree of independence will generally involve a limited number of tasks performed on a regular basis where priorities are clear, procedures are well established, and direction is readily available. Subject to any specific qualification and/or training requirement, an education support class employee employed in this range may be progressively required to undertake coordination, specialised student/teacher support tasks, or technical tasks as experience in the role is gained.
Responsibilities Monitoring of unapproved absences and late arrivals to class, bringing patterns of concern to the coordinator's attention, and calling parents as directed. Liaise with coordinators about attendance and record on Compass. Issuing of student timetables as required. Assist the College's Student Enrolments & Attendance officer in the production and processing of attendance letters as per policy. Liaise with the College's Student Enrolments & Attendance officer on new student enrolments and exits from the house team. House Reception Greeting all student and staff presenting to the house office, promptly directing queries as necessary and appropriate to other house staff. Answering incoming phone calls to the house office and in the absence of other house team staff. Issuing uniform passes and producing letters informing of uniform requirements to parents as directed. Collecting students from class and delivering notices as required. Allocate student lockers and ensure locker registers are maintained. Welcome new students to the College, arranging buddies and introducing new students to key staff and their homegroup teacher. Provide new students with a general tour, allocate student success packs and resources. Assisting in the booking of parent meetings. Maintain house team displays and noticeboards. Assist in the distribution of notices and forms in homegroup folders. Maintain homegroup noticeboards ensuring relevant notices are professionally displayed and updated in collaboration with the homegroup teacher. Produce notices, spreadsheets and reports as directed by the house team. Assist in the collation of newsletter, Facebook, website and college magazine articles from the house team. Ensure accurate family details including phone numbers, email and home addresses are maintained, completing change of details forms as required and providing to the College's Enrolments and Attendance officer for processing. Photocopying, filing, and scanning of house team notices. Ordering stationery and house rewards. Achievements and Events Assist in the student success ticket administration, monitoring and issuing of rewards. Encourage student participation and the promotion of lunchtime activities programs. Processing of power point presentations and packs for house assemblies and information evenings. Preparation of certificates for assemblies and College events. College Wide Support Assist in the preparation of resources for Student Success / Tutorial sessions. Assist the house Assistant Principal with the administration of their whole school responsibility i.e. School Connectedness, Student Voice and Agency, Student Transition, Senior School. At the request of the Principal or Business Manager, perform duties that will assist in the efficient functioning of the College. Perform general education support staff duties as required in the event of absences of other staff. Ensure work areas are in a clean, safe and orderly condition at all times. Ensure professionalism, efficiency, cheerfulness, reliability, politeness and teamwork are implemented, followed and supported at all times. At all times working to create a professional environment, which upholds and displays the Schools' values of respect, achievement and responsibility. Undertake other duties relevant to the field of responsibility as requested by the Business Manager or Principal.
