About the RoleThe primary role of a TAFE SA Hourly Paid Instructor (HPI) is to provide a quality educational service of training, assessment, and guidance to students in accordance with relevant training package objectives. HPIs may also be involved in the provision of consultancy services to industry/community clients.
We are seeking a qualified and passionate Lecturer in Marine Mechanical Technologies to join the Automotive Workgroup at TAFE SA's Regency Campus on a casual basis. In this role, you will deliver engaging, industry-relevant training to students pursuing careers in marine mechanics.
Benefits include: Flexible work arrangementsProfessional Development including academic pathwaysAn opportunity to kick start your career in educationCriteria: A trade qualification at Certificate III level or equivalent in Marine Mechanical Technologies.Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or later) or evidence of working towards it.Proven experience in the marine mechanic industry, with strong stakeholder engagement skills.Up-to-date technical skills and knowledge in marine mechanical systems, including the ability to implement flexible delivery methodologies.Familiarity with relevant software, operating systems, and e-learning platforms in the marine industry.A solid understanding of training, assessment practices, and the challenges faced in adult education, including psychosocial safety risk management.Other criteria: Understanding of adult education challenges, including psychosocial risk management.Must be currently eligible to live and work in Australia.Applicants to have a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to being employed.
