This is an opportunity to make a significant impact within a forward-thinking aged care organisation committed to excellence in service.About the RoleAs the Hotel Services Manager at Boandik, you will be responsible for leading our housekeeping team to deliver exceptional housekeeping, cleaning and laundry services across our facilities. Reporting to the Executive Manager of Clinical and Client Services, you will oversee all aspects of housekeeping operations, ensuring our services meet Boandik's high standards of quality, compliance, and client satisfaction.This role involves managing resources, supervising and training staff, coordinating with other departments, and attending resident meetings to address any queries or feedback related to housekeeping. You'll play a key role in budgeting, staff rostering, and implementing policies that ensure a safe, comfortable, and homelike environment for our residents.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with staff across all departments to deliver seamless, high-quality housekeeping services.Oversee all housekeeping operations, ensuring compliance with Boandik policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.Manage human resources for the housekeeping team, including recruitment, onboarding, rostering, training, and performance management.Attend resident meetings to address and resolve any questions or concerns regarding housekeeping and laundry services.Work closely with the Executive Manager to monitor and manage housekeeping budgets effectively.Maintain a welcoming, homelike environment that upholds the dignity, privacy, and individual choices of each resident.Champion infection control and safety practices to ensure a clean and hygienic environment.Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and customer service excellence.Qualifications and Experience:Relevant qualifications in hospitality management, housekeeping, or a related field, or significant leadership experience in housekeeping or hospitality management within aged care, healthcare, or a similar industry.A minimum of 4 years of practical experience in a supervisory or management role with a proven track record in housekeeping operations.Demonstrated experience in staff recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management, with the ability to inspire and lead a team.Strong knowledge of infection control, hygiene, and safety regulations, particularly as they apply in residential care settings.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, and staff at all levels.Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and service quality.Proven experience in budgeting and resource management to meet departmental targets effectively.A client-focused approach, with a commitment to supporting the rights, privacy, and dignity of aged care residents.Knowledge of quality improvement processes and continuous improvement in service delivery.How to Apply:For more information or a confidential discussion, please contact Leana Radley, HR Officer, at (08) 8725 7***.Applications close on Friday, 22 November 2024.To apply, please visit our Careers Portal and follow the application process on our website at boandiklodge.org.au/careers/current-vacancies#J-18808-Ljbffr
