Are you a dedicated and experienced nursing professional with a passion for leadership and excellence in aged care?
Kimba Pioneer Memorial Hostel is seeking a skilled Hostel Supervisor to join our team and contribute to providing outstanding care in our Residential Aged Care setting.
Role Overview:
As the Hostel Supervisor, you will deliver high-quality nursing services and play a crucial role in the leadership and management of our Residential Aged Care Services.
This position involves consolidating your nursing expertise, guiding and developing less experienced staff, and supporting the Executive Officer/Director of Nursing.
Your role will focus on promoting continuity and consistency of care, implementing practice changes, and managing key operational responsibilities.
This position is available from November 2024 until 23 January 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Support:
Provide specific support to the Executive Officer/Director of Nursing in leading Nurses and Care Workers, ensuring high standards of care and effective team performance.
Care Continuity:
Promote continuity and consistency of care in collaboration with other Associate Nurse/Midwife Unit Managers and the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager.
Practice Implementation:
Assist in implementing practice changes and improvements in the Residential Aged Care Services.
Operational Management:
Support the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager in managing various operational aspects, including:Performance management processes Recruitment and staffing Leave management and rostering Work allocation and attendance management Financial planning and monitoring of supplies
You must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate, with at least 3 years, full-time equivalent, post registration experience or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife.
