Hospitality Supervisor

Qualification & Requirements:

Certificate: Certificate III or (if not) 3 years of relevant experience required.

Experience:

Relevant Experience: 2 years of experience in the food industry, including roles such as server, cook, or kitchen manager.
Supervisory Experience: Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the food service industry is highly beneficial.

Technical Skills:

Knowledge of Food Safety and Sanitation: Understanding of proper food handling, storage, and cleanliness standards.
Familiarity with POS Systems: Experience with point-of-sale systems and other restaurant management software.
Basic Financial Skills: Understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting related to food and beverage operations.

Personal Attributes:

Attention to Detail: Ensuring that food quality, presentation, and service meet high standards.
Adaptability: Ability to handle the dynamic nature of the food service environment and adjust to changes as needed.
Strong Communication: Effective communication skills for interacting with staff, customers, and vendors.

Other Requirements:

Flexibility: Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as food service operations often run outside regular business hours.
Physical Stamina: Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, such as standing for long periods, moving quickly, and managing a busy environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Managing Daily Operations: Oversee the smooth operation of the food service area, ensuring efficient service and high-quality food delivery.
Staff Supervision: Lead, train, and schedule staff, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance and adherence to service standards.
Customer Service: Address guest inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure a positive dining experience for all patrons.
Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs to minimize waste and maintain profitability.
Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure that all food safety and sanitation regulations are followed, including proper food handling and cleanliness standards.
Financial Oversight: Assist in budgeting, manage expenses, and perform financial reporting to maintain financial health and operational efficiency.
Quality Control: Monitor food quality and presentation, adjusting as needed to meet company standards and customer expectations.
Event Coordination: Plan and coordinate special events or functions, ensuring all logistical aspects are handled smoothly and efficiently.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
