About the Home A modern care home built on two hectares of land, set in a quiet suburb of Glenvale, just 5kms west of the Toowoomba town centre. It consists of 124 beds, a with various care units such as dementia, respite, and palliative. Our primary goal is placing our focus on the health, lifestyle and well-being of our residents.
About the Role To deliver effective support to the hospitality function within the care home, including catering, cleaning and laundry
Use your fantastic food services and cleaning skills in a role where you really can make a difference by providing our residents with an empathetic and personal approach.
About you Previous catering / food service or cleaning experience preferred but not essential.
You will be a team player and someone who enjoys interacting with people and giving back to our most vulnerable.
Duties Maintain legislated workplace health and safety, quality and hygiene standardsComplete required documentation and reportingRespond to residents' queries and requestsLaundry duties include loading washers & dryers, sort linen, hang, fold, wrap or iron linenCatering / food services duties include assisting with basic food prep, provide meals and snacks, clear dining areas and dishwashing Cleaning duties include general cleaning; mopping, vacuuming, and waste collection in the residents' rooms, bathrooms, communal and living areasSkills and Experience Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsCleaning or catering experience preferred but not essentialFlexible availability for a variety of shifts throughout the weekYou will have an understanding of work health, safety and hygiene practices and the ability to work unsupervised.How to Apply Click Apply to be taken to our online application process.
