Ventia is looking for a Hospitality Rostering Coordinator to join our team supporting the US Marine rotation in Darwin!
This is a fantastic opportunity to manage rostering for six busy messes delivering top-tier catering services to Defence members from February to October 2025.
As the Rostering Coordinator, you will be at the heart of a high-energy team, ensuring the smooth operation of all staffing schedules for the messes.

What You'll Be Doing: Manage rostering for both Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) staff across six busy messes, ensuring shifts are always adequately covered.Backfill vacancies swiftly and efficiently, maintaining seamless service across all sites.Action roster changes promptly, supporting Supervisors with staffing issues and adjustments.Use your communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and supervisors, ensuring the right people are in the right place at the right time.Analyse and understand the make-up of the workforce to ensure proper staffing levels for daily catering services.What You Bring: Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders.Experience in hospitality or catering service delivery is a bonus but not essential – we're looking for someone with a keen eye for organisation and detail!Intermediate IT skills, with the ability to quickly learn online rostering systems – experience with Deputy or similar platforms is a plus.A proactive attitude and the ability to handle multiple tasks with ease in a fast-paced environment.Problem-solving skills to address rostering challenges and make adjustments as needed.Special Conditions: You will need to pass an Australian Federal Police check as part of the role.Working rights in Australia are essential.Own transport to the base is required.Why Join Us?
