The Opportunity We are looking for a part-time Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team at the new state-of-the-art Northern Beaches Hospital. Whether you're an experienced Pharmacy Technician from community pharmacy seeking a new challenge, or a Pharmacy Assistant looking to upskill into a dispensary role, we encourage you to apply!
You will work as part of a team to provide clinical pharmacy services to inpatients and outpatients; ensuring that all pharmacy activities are completed to a high standard while supporting the safe and effective use of medications.
Northern Beaches Hospital is a 486-bed state-of-the-art facility, providing a range of specialist surgical services including: Cardiothoracic, Neurological, Orthopaedic and Spinal, and many other subspecialties. The Epic team is situated in the foyer of the hospital and has 32 full-time-equivalent staff, including pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. Our team is split between the dispensary and the wards with pharmacists providing a full clinical service to all inpatient wards of the hospital. About the Role In this role you will:
Dispense and supply medication for hospital patients and outpatientsDeliver medication and collect rounds to hospital wardsAssist with managing ward imprest and stock management activitiesSupport patients, hospital staff and associated employeesPharmacy claims and general administration duties About You We welcome applicants from both community pharmacy backgrounds and those with no prior experience.
