Hospital OrderlyPermanent Part-time and Casual positions availableA great work culture and a friendly and supportive team.Excellent career growth opportunities.About the Role We are seeking experienced and motivated Theatre and Ward Orderlies to support the multidisciplinary team across our 5 theatre operating complex and other clinical areas in the hospital.
This opportunity is to cover afternoon shifts as well as provide leave coverage across other shifts.
The Orderly role will involve, but is not limited to:
Transporting patients to and from the operating theatreAssisting in the day-to-day function of the Operating Suite with patient positioning, theatre set ups, and cleaning and restocking of theatresRemoving rubbish and soiled linenTransport of beds or equipment within the hospitalProviding support to the wards as requiredDelivery and collections from pathologyTransport of patients to X-Ray or to other departments within the hospitalAbout You You are a motivated individual and bring a customer-first attitude with a desire to assist our staff and patients in obtaining the best possible outcomes.

The ability to communicate effectively with all patients, the general public and all hospital staffAbility to perform a physically demanding roleSelf-motivated and able to work effectively following directionsCertificate III in Health Services Assistance is highly desirablePrevious experience working in operating theatres assisting with surgical procedures is preferredAbout Us Southern Highlands Private Hospital is a modern facility built in 1996.
