These general stream positions are designed for applicants who have not yet committed to or who are not yet eligible to apply for a specific career pathway.
This may include applicants who are eligible for limited or provisional registration and are still pursuing their general registration.
This is a great chance for applicants to receive rotations in a range of specialties to enable general registration.
These include General Medicine, Internal Medicine, Surgical, Emergency and Sub-Acute Rehabilitation.
The Position: In this role you will provide high-quality and locally appropriate medical care to consumers of BRHS in conjunction with the multidisciplinary health team and with the direction and support of the staff Physicians.
This role will provide you with an excellent foundation for a career in Rural medicine that meets the current and future healthcare needs of rural and remote communities
About Us: BRHS is a multifaceted and growing regional health system providing a comprehensive array of health care services to the East Gippsland community.
The Medical Services Directorate is comprised of five clinical disciplines and has a senior medical workforce consisting of General Surgeons, General Physicians, Senior Medical Officer's (Emergency Medicine), and various fractional medical specialists in a wide range of specialties, enabling the provision of services across a broad spectrum of care.
What you need: Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (or equivalent)Minimum 1 years of postgraduate experience in clinical medicine, with AHPRA approved InternshipMinimum AMC parts 1 passed, AMC 2 highly regarded.Current competence in advanced life support techniques.Why should you Apply?
