If you desire to play a critical role in the continued success of a state-of-the-art, innovative and well-respected specialist and emergency hospital, then this is the role for you.Your new role:Reporting to the business manager, the hospital manager is a highly valued member of the ARH Canberra management team who oversees and executes the efficient and effective running of the hospital, ensuring that the highest standard of patient care and customer services are achieved. The role also provides leadership and direction in areas such as: team development, workflow management, supplier management, inventory management, operational performance, patient/customer satisfaction and ad hoc tasks as required.Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Day-to-day management of the hospital, optimising daily operating procedures to drive the highest standards of patient care and customer serviceProviding leadership, management and support to a busy, collaborative, high-performing teamEnd-to-end management of inventory, procurement and purchasing including but not limited to managing quality of supplies, supplier relationship management, overseeing agreements, and supplier auditsMaintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholdersWorking alongside the business manager and directors to identify growth opportunities and implement plans to achieve the required level of growthWorking alongside the business manager to understand levers of profit and loss within the hospital and provide recommendations to improve overall profitabilityComplying and participating with WH&S legislation and operating in accordance with established health, safety and wellbeing practices and proceduresAssisting with rostering and onboarding new employeesThe ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following attributes:Excellent time management, attention to detail, organisational and communication skills and ability to work towards deadlinesVeterinary Nurse / Vet Technician / Veterinarian qualifications preferredAbility to lead, and to lead by exampleAbility to handle a fast-paced environment while consistently maintaining a professional demeanourThe successful candidate will have the opportunity to be part of an outstanding, fast-paced, dynamic, vibrant and challenging work environment.How to apply:If you are a motivated and experienced individual looking for an exciting opportunity to contribute to the ongoing success of Animal Referral Hospital Canberra, please submit your resume and a cover letter outlining your relevant experience via the link.
