Hospital Coordinator – Day Manager | Hobart Join the team as an experienced Registered Nurse in a full-time Hospital Coordinator Day Manager role at a private hospital in Hobart.
This key position is integral to the healthcare team, providing leadership and overseeing the management of the hospital.
ABOUT THE ROLE As a Hospital Coordinator Day Manager, your responsibilities will be including:
Supervising safe, quality care that meets current best practice standards;Supporting and liaising with the respective Nurse Unit Manager(s) of wards and departments;Ensuring all areas are staffed appropriately and cost-efficiently;Managing patient flow, coordinating and planning operational processes, working within the budget direction of the hospital;Coordinating patient admissions;Supporting the hospital's commitment to quality improvement and achieving National Safety & Quality Healthcare Standards;Maintaining the safety of staff, patients, and visitors. REQUIREMENTS Registered Nurse with current AHPRA Registration;Recent management experience at Nurse Unit Manager or Hospital Coordinator level or higher;Demonstrated experience with the coordination and allocation of staff;Ability to manage multi-tasks and co-ordinate resources appropriately;High degree of computer literacy including MS Office;Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills;People leadership skills including mentorship and coaching of team members;Completion or working towards post-graduate qualification in management;Recent management experience at the Nurse Unit Manager or Hospital Coordinator level.REMUNERATION The salary range on offer for this position is $135K + Super.
ABOUT THE FACILITY The hospital, located in Hobart, is a fully accredited facility with 146 beds providing a unique range of acute services, including general surgery, specialty care in orthopaedics, urology, gynaecology, breast, colorectal, oral, vascular, plastics, obesity surgery, and select surgery for paediatrics.
