Far West NSW Local Health District – Dubbo NSWJob ResponsibilitiesThe Hospital Assistant role provides support to the nursing team in the delivery of patient care as directed by nursing staff, general assistance in wards, cleaning duties, and portering for patient transfers around the facility.Undertake a range of cleaning duties as outlined in a daily schedule, including high level cleaning, outside cleaning, stripping and/or sealing floors, cleaning tooth and vomit bowls, and sanitising bed pans and other equipment, to ensure the patient and hospital environment remains clean, safe, and attractive.Provide general assistance in the ward/facility including moving heavy equipment, making unoccupied beds, and loading/unloading commercial-type washing machines, to ensure the smooth running of the facility.About the Far West LHDThe Far West Local Health District is one of 15 LHDs under NSW Health, providing high quality public health services to the communities in far west NSW.
