Exciting opportunity for a Hospital Assistant to join the Department of Health!
The Role: The Acute Older Persons Unit (AOPU) is located on Ward 5A, level 5, A Block at the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH). The AOPU is an acute 20-bed geriatric unit that provides specialist care for the treatment of conditions common in older people.
Acts as a member of a team and performs duties consistent with quality improvement guidelines to provide hospital aide services, general housekeeping including re-stocking, linen ordering, infection control cleans, catering duties to patients, and waste & linen management.
Details of appointment: Fixed term full-time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of approximately six (6) months.

Salary: $60,666 to $63,222 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
