Our skilled team is expanding to develop and then maintain the additional gardens and exhibits.
As a member of our Horticulture team, you will deliver exciting new landscapes, maintain existing landscapes to agreed standards of horticulture presentation, undertake landscape renewal and land management of gardens, browse plantations, exhibits and areas of natural habitat at Werribee Open Range Zoo.
You will work with other Horticulture Team members, taking direction from Horticulture Coordinators and the Horticulture and Grounds Manager.
We are seeking skilled, motivated, results-oriented applicants that are team focused to deliver high standards of Horticulture maintenance and project delivery.
A strong work ethic, time and teamwork skills are essential to this role where you will be working autonomously and an as part of a team.
Selection Criteria Certificate III in relevant horticulture discipline.
Current Victorian drivers' licence.
Appropriate machinery & equipment licences.
Tractor, bobcat, frontend loader desirable but not essential.
Chemical user's certificate and experience in chemical application.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team and contribute to a positive team culture.
Proven ability to deliver high standards of horticulture work.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team delivering operational objectives.
Sound time management skills Safe work practices.
