Horse Trainer

Seib Racing Job OpportunitySeib Racing is currently seeking a highly experienced and capable staff member to join our team as a Horse Trainer.
The successful candidate will be responsible for educating our young horses on the ground, overseeing a team and barn of horses, and assisting the trainer with all horse training duties.
The salary will be between $75,000 - $80,000 depending on experience.Minimum RequirementsAll applicants must have a minimum of 3 years equivalent full-time professional experience in the role, or 2 years equivalent full-time experience and a relevant qualification.Required SkillsKnowledge and experience of horse training and handling methods specific to thoroughbred racing.Proven ability to train and educate horses.Oral and written communication skills to take and provide instructions.Ability to work both in a team and independently (or proven management experience if the position is for a foreperson role).Knowledge of safe operation of all equipment and use of personal protective equipment.Sound knowledge of health and safety obligations and demonstrated skills in the safe operation of equipment relevant to the training and preparation of racehorses.Desirable SkillsA Certificate III or equivalent international qualification.
