GVRC on behalf of HOWLETT BREEDING & RACING PTY LTDPosition: Horse TrainerSalary: $73,150 + 11.5% superannuationJob Type: Full-timeLocation: Busselton WA 6280We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Horse Trainer to join our team and contribute to our mission of developing well-trained, confident horses. The candidate in mind will be expected to perform the following duties that include but are not limited to:•Training and equipping horses with skills and ability for harness racing•Driving horses – jogging and trackwork•Grooming horses•Handling and halter breaking foals and yearlings •Cleaning stables•Feeding management and supplementation•Communicating with drivers and other horse handlers•Driver horse float•Managing health care, nutrition and optimum well being of horses, reporting conditions to owners and/or Vet•Identifying and treating injuriesQualifications: •Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience as a horse trainer.Other requirements:•RWWA driving licence must be attained (drug test, police clearance required). •Knowledge of equine behaviour, health, and training techniques.•Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clients, riders, and team members.•A calm and patient demeanour, with an ability to connect with horses and bring out their best potential.
