HomeStart are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Services team, reporting directly to our Chief Financial Officer. This full-time role combines technical accounting expertise with strategic financial analysis to support HomeStart's mission of enabling affordable home ownership for all South Australians.
Your Impact:
Drive strategic financial decision-making through expert analysis and insights Lead technical accounting interpretations and maintain best-practice standards Support the development and modelling of HomeStart's 5-year operating outlook Partner with the Executive Team to deliver critical financial and business intelligence Manage treasury operations and complex financial reporting requirements including cash flow management and hedge accounting documentation Champion process improvements and strengthen our control environment Provide strategic advice on financial risk management and mitigation strategies through proactive analysis and reporting Partner with cross-functional teams to drive strategic projects, enhance reporting frameworks and deliver financial solutions to the organisation What You'll Bring:
Essential Experience & Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within a large corporate or Big 4 accounting firm Active membership with a recognised professional accounting body (CA ANZ, CPA Australia or equivalent) Comprehensive knowledge of current Australian accounting standards Proven track record in financial analysis and strategic problem-solving Outstanding communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial concepts for diverse stakeholders An unwavering ability to deliver accurate and high-quality financial analysis to support business decisions within challenging timelines Treasury operations, financial modelling and/or project finance experience Banking or mortgage lending industry knowledge will be highly regarded Why HomeStart?
