About the role
Lyrebird Health is on a mission to revolutionise healthcare through innovative AI solutions, and we're seeking a highly motivated Product Designer to join our rapidly growing team. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of solving complex healthcare challenges by creating intuitive, user-centric designs that make a real difference in people's lives.
As a key member of our product team, you'll collaborate closely with engineers, data scientists, and healthcare professionals to design and refine our clinical documentation tools. Your work will directly impact how healthcare providers interact with our technology, ultimately improving patient care and outcomes.
You'll have the opportunity to:
Work with the Product team to design intuitive interfaces for use by doctors and patients. Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of design and functionality. Contribute to our design system, ensuring consistency across our product suite. Create elegant, intuitive user interfaces that simplify complex healthcare workflows. What you'll bring to the table
Skills & Capabilities
Depth and quality of your experience is more important than years. That said, successful candidates typically have at least 2 years of design experience. Perfectionism with the experience (polish, readability, accessibility, performance). You create clear, intuitive, and visually appealing human interfaces. You seek to understand the needs of customers then explore and advocate for the strongest user experiences to solve their problems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail. Experience working in or with Software as a Service (SaaS) companies or a startup. Some programming or technical understanding. Understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI in general is a massive bonus. You have collaborated with folks from marketing and engineering in previous roles. You are great at simplifying complex problems and intuitively crafting understandable mental models and workflows, enabling users to quickly gain value from a product. Experience working closely with cross-functional team members, such as product managers and engineers to quickly iterate on designs. You are incredible in Figma, work with grids and design tokens, and are able to clearly and concisely communicate design language to engineers and work with them to create a great product. Collaborate closely with our product managers and engineering teams, providing design support and guidance for upcoming feature releases. You'll create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to visualise new functionalities and user flows. Conduct a full design audit of our current experience, focusing on how we can improve the user experience and interface based on user feedback and evolving healthcare needs. This might involve reimagining how doctors interact with AI-generated clinical notes or streamlining the new user experience. Facilitate cross-functional design thinking workshops to solve complex healthcare challenges, bringing together insights from clinicians, data scientists, and product teams to generate innovative solutions. Contribute to and help maintain our design system, ensuring consistency across our product suite while allowing for the flexibility needed in a rapidly evolving healthcare tech environment. Conduct in-depth design research, including user interviews and usability tests, to gain insights into how healthcare professionals interact with our platform. You'll analyse this data to inform future design decisions and improvements. Stay abreast of the latest trends in healthcare technology and AI, and explore how emerging design methodologies could be applied to improve our products and better serve our users.
