About the Role We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated team member to join our Home Maintenance Team.
Our goal is to provide home and yard maintenance and repairs that mitigate or remove identified risks to a client's health and safety and/or provide services targeted at maintaining a home environment which supports a client's wellness and reablement goals.
The role is classified at Home Care-Aged Care Level 2 or Home Care-Disability Level 2 (depending on the client work stream) of the Social Community Home Care and Disability Services Award 2010 (SCHADS) with the benefit of salary sacrifice options.
Key Responsibilities Convert gardens to low maintenance garden redesignYard maintenance – essential pruning, yard clearance or lawn mowing, particularly where there are issues for client safety and accessMaintain external access pathways to address slip and trip hazardsSecure access issues for clients' personal safetyCleaning gutters, windows, ceilings, and wallsInstallation of smoke alarm batteries, smoke alarms (where applicable)Replace tap washers and light globesAbout You Demonstrated experience in efficient operation of home and garden maintenance equipment and resourcesGood communication skills with the ability to manage consumer expectationsProactive, enthusiastic and the ability to adjust approach in line with changing prioritiesAbility to work autonomously or as part of a teamSelf-motivated and able to work with minimal supervisionStrong time management and the ability to prioritiseAppropriate level of physical fitnessGood knowledge of the Devonport, Latrobe, Kentish, and Central Coast municipalities is an advantagePrevious experience working with aged people and younger persons with a disability is desirableAll MCCA employees must: Hold a current driver's licenceHave a Working with Vulnerable Persons Card - NDIS endorsed (or be willing to obtain)Have a current National Police Check (or be willing to obtain)To Apply Applications must be made via Seek (email applications will not be accepted) and include a current resume and cover letter detailing your experience relative to the position.
