King Island Hospital and Health Centre are seeking a motivated Home Help Personal Carer to join their team. Respecting diversity is the foundation of everything that Department of Health do. The Role: The Home Help Personal Carer will:
Provide home help services to clients in their own homes, including household and personal care duties as assessed and documented in client care plans.Within a primary health care framework, function effectively as a member of a health team concerned with the care of an individual and family unit within the community.Note: - Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application. Details of appointment: Permanent, part time, day worker position, working up to 40 hours per fortnight, commencing from December 2024.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies. Salary: $58,184 to $59,580 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
District Allowances of up to $4,618 per annum for a familyRemote and Rural Professional Development Allowance of $3,699 per annum and an additional salary allowance of 10%Benefits available to eligible candidates: Excellent leave benefits: 20 days annual leave (pro rata), 20 days personal leave (pro rata), and study assistance leave if eligible.Fitness Passport – You, and your family can access 40+ fitness facilities across Tasmania for just $13.95 per week per person, or $25.95 for a family.Eligibility: Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.
Current Driver's Licence.
As required by CHSP, occupants of this role are required to undertake a conviction check assessment every three years.
