Location: Padstow St George, New South Wales The Role: Home & Garden Maintenance Officer
Providing high-quality home garden and maintenance tasks and issues in a safe, efficient, respectful, and timely manner. Ensuring the appropriate use and care of all maintenance equipment and machinery, including reporting any damage or defects to equipment and facilities to the manager. Resolving day-to-day home garden and maintenance issues and performing minor maintenance repairs and alterations to equipment, fixtures, and fittings that are non-trade functions.
All tasks are undertaken to ensure that the client's home and grounds provide a safe environment for the client.
Mow lawns, trim and edge around walkways, flower beds, and walls. Prune and trim bushes, hedges, and trees overhanging windows, doorways, and paths, and/or are posing a danger. Pressure clean paths and walkways to minimize the risk of the client slipping and falling. Perform routine in-home maintenance duties such as: Fitting of hand rails. Changing light bulbs. Cleaning of gutters. Repairing latches and locks. External window cleaning. Sweeping walkways of debris. Trimming shrubs and pulling weeds that pose a risk to the client. Performing minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment used in the provision of this service. Raking up and removing garden debris and general yard rubbish. Certificate in Brush cutter operations. Certificate in Chainsaw operations. Certificate in Treating & Controlling weeds. Certificate in Working Safely at Heights.
