Home Care Worker - Unqualified Churches of Christ, Home Care, Townsville Permanent, Part-time Opportunity
About the role An excellent opportunity awaits compassionate individuals to become part of our Community Care Team.
The Home Care Worker is responsible for providing homecare clients with assistance, support and encouragement of independence to reside in their chosen community.
You will contribute as an integral member of the Seniors Living group and support activities aligned with the strategic direction of and consistent with the mission and values of Churches of Christ.
You will be responsible to:
Provide general domestic assistance; undertake housekeeping and laundry duties; assist in the preparation and cooking of in-home meals ensuring that food hygiene standards are met. Provide social support to clients by providing transport, assisting them on social outings, shopping etc. Participate in the review of client care plans by ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate; report any observed changes to client health to the Service Coordinator/Registered Nurse. Perform position responsibilities in accordance with the Positive Wellbeing Model of Care
About you We seek those who can offer essential support to our elderly community members preferring to stay in their own homes.
You are someone who wants to make a difference in the lives of seniors, you are a caring and empathetic person. Your ability to work independently and build relationships of trust with the clients and ensure that they are feeling supported and cared for.
You will need:
Current Senior First Aid Certificate and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification. Current driver's licence and a willingness to use your own comprehensively insured vehicle for work purposes. Competent in the use of a Smart Phone. Pre-requisite
