About the roleOur Toowoomba Home and Community team are looking for Home Care Workers to support and enable our clients maintain a happy, healthy and independent lifestyle at home.
You will assist with personal grooming and hygiene, medication assistance, transport, social inclusion and domestic duties as required.
About You To ensure the most effective and continuous care, we require our Home Care Workers to be dedicated, reliable and flexible. We look for:
A fantastic attitude and genuine interest in helping othersVarious hobbies - sewing, arts, gardening, cooking, and scrapbooking to name a few!Experience in various outdoor pursuits and activitiesA practical understanding of hygiene assistance and commitment of careEnjoyment in social activities, and one-on-one engagementUnderstanding of physical limitations and a safe, sensible approachCreativity, enthusiasm, sensitivity, and emotional stabilityStrong communication and organizational skills - able to manage your time and support clients to do the same in an everyday capacityMinimum qualifications include: Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Home & Community Care, Disability Services or similar fieldCompletion of Assist clients with medication (or commitment to obtain)Completion of Recognise healthy body systems (or commitment to obtain)A current National Police CertificateCurrent Drivers Licence and own reliable vehicleImmunisation against Tetanus & Hepatitis BPhysically capable of meeting the requirements of the roleWhy Join Anglicare?
