This is an important and fast-paced role in which you will be responsible for delivering agreed sales targets and business goals. Success will be defined by maintaining a structured contact plan that is continually tailored to establish and improve relationships with new and existing customers to maintain and grow the business.
The role offers you the chance to truly manage and grow customer accounts with a supportive management team setting realistic targets and goals. Further and detailed accountabilities are found in the Position Description which is available upon request and will include:
Preparing and collating tenders for major civil projects independently and with the support of the Holcim Major Projects team. Primary contact for major civil customers for projects we are supplying including regular meetings, resolution of disputes and planning successful project supply in conjunction with the Holcim Operations team. Working closely with the Holcim Technical team to review project specifications and develop a product offering that meets the project requirements. Developing and maintaining a structured customer contact plan within the allocated accounts in line with allocated budget targets. Maintaining and enhancing positive working relationships with assigned customers to build customer loyalty and maximize the likelihood of winning future business. Identifying and thoroughly following up all new business, product and/or project opportunities within the existing customer base. Meeting with clients following tender submission with the ability to convert offers into successful bids for concrete supply. Achieving the volume/unit targets (total and/or segment and/or account) within the allocated territory. Achieving ongoing pricing targets and complying with all pricing policies. Experience across MS Office, Google suite, SAP & CRM systems. About you:
To be successful you will have demonstrable and successful experience in sales/business development within the concrete/building materials/construction or related sectors and you will be assisted by your knowledge of estimating and contracts management. You will thrive on working in high-pressure, fast-paced environments; be a strong administrator; be comfortable dealing with large tenders and large projects and display a self-motivated, energetic and outcomes-oriented mindset and a consultative, solutions-focused outlook.
You will enjoy engendering solid business relationships and be level-headed and down to earth with exemplary standards of ethical conduct and professional judgment. This will be complemented by your positive, resilient, curious and goal-oriented nature and by your clear ability to find ways to put together solutions that add value.
