A permanent full time position commencing 31 January 2025.
The successful applicant will be required to teach History (Stage 6).
The role of Classroom Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning so that students may reach their full potential.
ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.
Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in History.
Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers and the wider school community.
DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA Ability to teach History (Stage 6) and HSIE (stages 4-5).
Ability to teach Religious Education.
GENERAL CAPABILITIES Well-developed interpersonal skills.
Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
Strong organisational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
QUALIFICATIONS Appropriate qualifications for teaching nominated Key Learning Area (s).
Level B Accreditation in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.
The applicant must be registered to teach with NESA.
WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE This role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.
