About Us Novita provides early intervention, rehabilitation, therapy, assistive technology and disability services to more than 5,000 people living with disability, as well as support for their families and carers.
Our primary purpose is to enable kids, young people and adults living with disability and their families to participate in the community to their full potential.
Our HIPPY Program is looking for several new HIPPY Home Tutors to Join our team in 2025 in the Salisbury area.
HIPPY (Home Interaction Program for Parents and Youngsters) is an early childhood enrichment and parenting program for children and their parents/carers.
The program runs over a two year period.
Children begin the program 2 years before formal schooling and complete the program at the end of Kindy.
Through regular home visiting and group sessions, parents are provided with the materials and support by Home Tutors that allow them to further develop their skills and confidence to better help their children prepare for a successful start at school.
We are looking for team members who can demonstrate the following: Passion, excitement and a fun attitude towards delivering HIPPY programs in the Northern suburbs community Commitment to the HIPPY program with your own child/or with a child you have regular contact with over the two years of the program Interest and enthusiasm in supporting other families Ability to relate to people from a range of cultural and language backgrounds from within the local community Basic literacy in English including reading and writing and numeracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good organisational skills Essential Criteria A current drivers licence and own car Ability to pass DHS Working With Children & NDIS Check and a National Police Check Availability to commit to 15 hrs a week during school terms Willingness to commit and participate in training in relation to the program Second language shared by families in the HIPPY program (desirable only) Applicants are limited to members of families who have participated in and completed the HIPPY program Apply Now and make a difference!
