Chief Engineer
Job Summary:
The Chief Engineer is responsible for the entire engineering operations of the hotel's systems, plant, and equipment. Ensuring efficient utilization of resources and effective management of the department's team members enables the hotel to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversight of engineering operations for exterior and interior facilities, including electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, painting, plumbing, heating, cooling, ventilation, structural elements, landscaping, and car parks.
Maintenance of hotel facilities, ensuring a top-quality experience for guests, and safeguarding the well-being of all stakeholders.
Management of maintenance staff, ensuring proper functioning of systems like HVAC and fire safety, and addressing repairs or upgrades as needed.
Salary:
$85,000 - $110,000 per year
Requirements:
Advanced knowledge of building management/engineering.
Motivated, self-driven, with a passion for delivering consistency.
Flexibility with rostering and availability 24/7 in case of an emergency.
High communication and collaborative skills.
Possess knowledge of government regulations and technical rules.
Previous facilities management experience preferably within Hotels and Hospitality.
A hands-on and approachable leader with previous experience managing and training a team.
