Chief Engineer The Chief Engineer is responsible for the entire engineering operations of the hotel's systems, plant, and equipment.
The management of the department's team members and ensuring the budget is utilized efficiently and effectively ensures the hotel is able to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Key responsibilities also include ensuring Australian building compliance requirements are met, acting as Chief Fire Warden, championing hotel environmental and sustainability initiatives, ensuring Hilton Brand Standards are adhered to, and maintaining the hotel's assets.
Job Summary Lead the Engineering Team in the day-to-day engineering and maintenance operations of the hotel Implement and maintain a preventative maintenance program Monitor and coordinate services performed by outside contractors Collaborate with departments like Housekeeping and Front Office to ensure seamless operations Responsibilities: Oversight of all engineering operations across the hotel's interior and exterior facilities Seamless facilities management, exceptional guest experiences, and compliance with safety and sustainability standards Plan, implement and administer an effective preventive maintenance program Plan, implement and administer an energy management program Ensure the hotel complies with all local codes and regulations related to safety and environmental standards Conduct ongoing inspections of building and facilities Manage the maintenance budget, including tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving measures Coordinate renovation bidding and oversee the general contractor and subcontractors Respond to emergencies, such as equipment failures or natural disasters About Us Hilton Hotels are a renowned hospitality brand known for their commitment to excellence in guest service and satisfaction.
